Description: Galaga is an arcade game that was developed and released by Namco in Japan and Midway in the United States and Canada in 1981. It is a sequel to Galaxian but the game itself has had several sequels as well. The main concept of Galaga is to get as many points as possible and to destroy the enemy. The player operates a spaceship at the bottom of the screen which has to defend itself from the aliens. These descent to the player's spaceship and may shoot at it or collide with it. The player needs to shoot down all alien formations and moves to a higher level when all enemies are destroyed. You can move the spaceship left and right at the bottom of the screen. From time to time “boss Galaga” tries to capture your spaceship by a tractor beam. If successful, your spaceship joins the enemies. In this case, you have to free the spaceship by using another fighter ship (at a cost of a life) but when freed you operate two ships at a time. If the “boss Galaga” is destroyed while the captured ship is still in formation with the enemies, it disappears and returns in another level. If you hit the captured ship, it is destroyed and does not return.
