Description: Moon Patrol is one of the classic arcade games from the period of the golden age of video arcade games. It was developed and released by Japanese company Irem in 1982 and licensed to Williams for the US market. The game was one of the first shoot 'em ups games using linear side-scrolling games and the first arcade game with parallax scrolling – a 2D video game with an illusion of depth.
In
Moon Patrol, you patrol the Sector Nine “the toughest thugs in the galaxy” in a moon buggy. While driving, you have to avoid craters and mines as well as fight off attacks from the tanks on the ground and UFO's from the sky.
The top of the screen displays a map of the current course and a three indicator lights that warn you about the approaching attacks of the enemy. The upper light indicates the upcoming aerial attack, while the lower light signals an attack of the enemy from behind. The middle light indicates the approaching minefield.
Map map on the top of the screen also shows different checkpoints, while the time that is spend between different checkpoints is compared to the average from which depends the amount of received bonus points. Other fun games to play include
